How it all began...

Hi, my name is Justine and I'm married to Mike.

We live with Dolly, her friends and our animals

Now I've always wanted a classic car but without the money, the knowledge for up keep or the personal resilience to the North Wales weather (think cold mornings, no heating, leaks and draughts), it was a bit of a pipe dream.

On the 18th of May 2023, I came home from work to a huge surprise. My husband had decided on a whim to buy me a Nissan Figaro.

'It's a Dolly car' I cried in excitement and so our journey began. It has taken a year of restoration, every spare penny I had (and repairs plus maintenance are still ongoing) and we're ready to enjoy the quirky car that is Dolly.

We hope that our experiences entertain and hopefully help others in the restoration and ownership of a unique little car called a Nissan Figaro, or indeed any old car restoration project you might undertake.

We're hoping that Dolly might help to pay her way so we're looking at ways that she could earn some money for her repairs and up keep. Any ideas, please let us know. Watch this space.
